About RAKE 2010

RAKE 2010 is an experiemnt being conducted by a growing number of individuals and groups to observe the effects that kind acts have upon other people. Through what we call "Random Acts of Kindness" the experiment hopes to bring about change in the lives of its members as well as the lives of everyone around them.  We believe that generosity and kindness are contagious, and that the more people get invovled, the bigger impact we can have on others' lives.  You would be surprised what a small act of kindness can accomplish.  Through small acts of love, we hope to brighten up the world - one smile at a time.

From WIkipedia: “A random act of kindness is a purportedly selfless act performed by a person or persons wishing to either assist or cheer up an individual or in some cases even an animal. There will generally be no reason other than to make people smile, or be happier. Either spontaneous or planned in advance, random acts of kindness are encouraged by various communities.”
